Washington State Signs Offensive Lineman

Washington State’s football team, looking to strengthen its offensive line, has signed Joe Crisacione of Cerritos (Calif.) Community College to a national letter of intent.

The 6-foot-4, 290-pound sophomore will enroll at WSU next month, allowing him to participate in spring drills.

Crisacione, a 19-year-old from Whittier, Calif., was an all-South Coast Conference selection under Cerritos coach Frank Mazzotta.

Little to appear at University City

Chad Little, who will run a full schedule of Winston Cup races in 1997, will greet fans and sign autographs Friday at University City Mall.

The Spokane driver and his wife Donna, who live in Charlotte, N.C., annually make a holiday appearance in Little’s hometown of Spokane to benefit the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery. Fans are asked to bring a toy or make a donation to the nursery.

Little’s appearance from 4-6 p.m. is sponsored by DK Motorsport Collectables. The event has been held at the DK store but a large turnout last year forced fans to line up outside, owner Ken Vierth said.

“We decided to take advantage of the mall next door to do this year’s session,” Vierth said.

Little will sign at the Mall’s center court.
