Hope Lutheran Puts On Kids’ Christmas Program

The children of Hope Lutheran Church, 17909 E. Broadway, will present a Christmas program at 3 p.m. Sunday.

The program is called “Hurry, Listen, Jesus is Born.” Also on Sunday, the church choir will perform the cantata “The Promise Fulfilled” at the 9 a.m. worship service.

A candlelight worship service will be held at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Worship on Christmas Day will be at 10 a.m.

‘Longest Night’ service

The Veradale United Church of Christ, 611 N. Progress Road, will have a “Longest Night” service at 7:30 p.m. today.

The special service is designed for those who are dealing with grief, sadness or loneliness during the holiday season. Refreshments will be served following the service.

A candlelight communion service will be held at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve at the church.

Choir presents cantata

The choir of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2511 S. Pines, will present the cantata “King of Love” Sunday at 10:30 a.m. A special service with Christmas carols designed for families will be held at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve. A candlelight service will be at 11 p.m.

Candlelight services

Christmas Eve candlelight services will be held at 5 and 7 p.m. Tuesday at Opportunity Free Methodist Church, 1313 S. Pines.

Christmas Eve service

The Valley Assembly of God Church, 15618 E. Broadway, will have a candlelight service at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Special family service

Families are invited to attend a special family oriented service at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve at Opportunity Presbyterian church, 202 N. Pines. A candlelight service will be held at 9 p.m.

Christmas Eve candles

A candlelight service will be held at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve at the Valley Open Bible church, 905 N. McDonald Road.
