Two Men May Have Been Kidnapped

Two Spokane men and a 30-foot motor home were missing late Sunday after an apparent drug-related kidnapping, police said.

Police were called to the 2900 block of North Hogan about 8 a.m. Sunday. They found a young woman who’d been beaten. She was treated at an area hospital and released.

The woman told police that she, her boyfriend and another man arrived at the Hogan address in their motor home.

A short time later, she said she was attacked. Her friends left in the motor home with two other men, she told police.

About 3 p.m., Willie T. Franklin, 23, was arrested at a Valley apartment in connection with the assault. He was being held late Sunday in the Spokane County Jail on suspicion of second-degree assault.

Police were looking for the missing men and the 1982 motor home, described only as white, with Washington license plates. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.

Police suspect the assault occurred after a drug deal went awry.
