Tires Slashed In South Hill Area
Spokane police are investigating 10 reports of car tires being slashed on the South Hill late Friday and early Saturday, causing about $2,000 damage.
An apartment complex in the 3100 block of South Mt. Vernon Street was the hardest hit. Residents there accounted for five of the complaints.
All of the incidents were reported between 27th and 33rd avenues in the east 2600 and 2700 blocks, said police spokesman Dick Cottam.
More than two dozen tires were cut between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m., Cottam said.
Felony charges, instead of lesser misdemeanor or malicious mischief charges, could be filed against the culprit because of the extensive damage.
