The Pentagon said Monday it won’t do any more business with a contractor who made bootlegged Medals of Honor.

It also recommended that H.L.I. Lordship Industries Inc. of Hauppauge, N.Y., be denied any other government work.

Earlier this month, the company admitted it had sold 300 unauthorized copies of the nation’s highest combat honor to a dealer who sold the medals at memorabilia shows. The company was fined $80,000 in U.S. District Court in Newark, N.J.

The company had made 60 percent of all U.S. military medals and had done $9 million in business with the government each year.
