Gonzaga Forum To Discuss High-Profile Criminal Cases
A panel of Spokane judges, journalists, lawyers and police officials will discuss the handling of high-profile criminal cases during a free public forum today at Gonzaga University.
The forum, called “Lessons from the Simpson Trial,” is presented by the Spokane County Bench Bar Press Committee.
It will explore such issues as how judges control their courtrooms, the ethical limits on media coverage and the impact of lengthy trials on juries.
The moderator will be professor Jim Vache of Gonzaga University Law School. Panelists include U.S. District Court Judge Robert Whaley, Spokane Police Chief Terry Mangan and Spokesman-Review Editor Chris Peck.
The forum is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. at Jepson Auditorium. , DataTimes
