Oops, Board Discovers A 13th Candidate

From Staff And Wire Reports

Then there were 13.

Spokane School District officials found a misplaced application for the open school board seat Friday, bringing the total number of applicants to 13.

Don Barlow, 57, a cultural diversity consultant, sent his application by mail to board President Terrie Beaudreau. The envelope arrived Tuesday, but wasn’t opened until Friday.

Most other applicants hand-delivered their applications before the Wednesday deadline.

Barlow, a South Hill resident, is a member of the Chase Youth Commission and has a daughter who is a high school student in the district. , DataTimes
