Thompson’s 26 Sparks Nic Win

Troy Thompson scored 26 points to pace North Idaho College to a 95-87 Scenic West Athletic Conference men’s basketball win over Snow College on Saturday night.

The Cardinals’ Darnell McCoy, hit 9 of 13 from the floor, including four 3-pointers, and finished with 23 points. NIC shot 50 percent for the game (31 of 62).

NIC took control of the game with 9 minutes left to play after the lead changed hands several times early in the second half.

Lance Barnes had 19 points to lead the Badgers.

NIC improves to 20-3 on the year and 8-3 in conference play.
