Lakeside Clinches Nea Title By Defeating Newport

Brianne Jolley scored a game-high 28 points, including 20 in the second half, to help the Lakeside Eagles (17-1 overall, 11-1 NEA) lock up the Northeast A League title with a 54-36 victory over the Newport Grizzlies (14-4, 9-3) Saturday night in Newport.

The Eagles clung to a one point lead with 5 minutes left in the third quarter before going on a 22-3 run, sparked by 14 points from Jolley.
