Air Pollution Reports

A total of 12 air quality complaints were reported to the Spokane County Air Pollution Control Authority between Jan. 29 and Feb. 4.

The most common complaint, smoke from a solid fuel burning device, such as a wood stove or fireplace, was reported seven times.

Jan. 29

Asbestos not contained was reported at 707 W. 5th, Cooper George Building, at 10:15 a.m.

Smoke from a solid fuel burning device, such as a wood stove or fireplace, was reported at 9510 E. Greenbluff Road at 4:15 p.m.

Jan. 30

Odor of petroleum was reported at 4327 N. Thor, Koch Materials, at 8:25 a.m.

Smoke from a solid fuel burning device was reported at 511 and 511 W. Mansfield at 8:40 a.m.

Vehicle’s idling was reported at Mayflower Bus parking lot at 10 a.m.

Asbestos not contained was reported at St. Paschal’s School at 8 a.m.

Jan. 31

Smoke and odor from a solid fuel burning device was reported at 14008 E. Boone at 8:35 a.m.

Feb. 1

Smoke and odor from a solid fuel burning device was reported at 10205 N. Roanoke at 2:35 p.m.

Smoke and odor from a solid fuel burning device was reported at 6002 N. Addison at 4:05 p.m.

Smoke from a solid fuel burning device was reported at 706 2nd, Cheny Church of Christ, at 4:20 p.m.

Feb. 2

Smoke from a solid fuel burning device was reported at 1720 S. Pines Road at 11:30 a.m.

Feb. 4

Open fire was reported at 500 block of South Barker Road at 5:40 p.m.
