Construction Bond For Library Passes Easily

Results compiled Wednesday show the Spokane County Library District easily passed its $7.6 million construction bond.

More than 85 percent of voters Tuesday approved the 10-year bond, which will build two new libraries and add automated services for patrons.

The measure drew more than 26,000 votes. The district needed 20,668 to validate the election.

The same bond failed in September.
