Drug Packages Found In Victim’s Stomach
State toxicologists confirmed that a man who suffered fatal seizures while in the custody of Spokane police last month swallowed packages filled with drugs.
The Spokane Police Department reported the findings Thursday.
Toxicologists found lethal amounts of cocaine and methamphetamine in specimens taken from David Scott Waterhouse, who died Jan. 23.
They also found packages commonly used to transport the drugs in his stomach, police reported.
Waterhouse, 30, was arrested on an outstanding warrant after police stopped him for a routine traffic violation.
An autopsy performed in Spokane a day after Waterhouse died showed no signs of injury or obvious causes of death. , DataTimes
