Weber St. Stops Bsu Streak At 7
Justyn Tebbs sank a 10-foot jump shot with 6 seconds remaining and Weber State took advantage of poor shooting by Boise State to post a 64-62 win Saturday night in a Big Sky Conference game at Boise.
The Wildcats (16-9 overall 7-4 Big Sky) ended the Broncos’ (13-10, 9-2) seven-game winning streak.
Tebbs’ winning basket, only his second of the game, came after Boise State’s Phil Rodman had tied the score 62-62 with a pair of free throws with 39 seconds remaining. Rodman had given the Broncos a 60-58 lead with a steal and dunk with 3:07 remaining. But the Wildcats’ Jimmy DeGraffenried scored a free throw and center Andy Smith added a free throw and a basket to give Weber State a 62-60 lead.
Boise State called timeout with 5.5 seconds remaining and guard Shane Flanagan drove up the middle, but his layup missed as time ran out.
