Downtown Sandpoint Property Is Sold

The three buildings that make up Gunning’s Alley in downtown Sandpoint changed hands last week, according to Acuff Northwest Inc. broker Shawn McMahon.

Coeur d’Alene residents David and Susan Schreiber bought Gunning’s Alley for an undisclosed price.

The 22,000 square feet of office and retail space at the 200 block of First Avenue houses 24 diverse tenants such as lawyers, government agencies and few shops. It has been owned the last eight years by Ralph and Sandy Sletager.

David Schreiber said in a release that he hopes to attract more tourists and supports the idea of developing Sandpoint’s waterfront.

Waterfront Property Management of Sandpoint will continue to manage the property. The Sletagers will use the proceeds to further finance the renovation of the Sandpoint Marina, which they hope to turn into a large waterfront retail and office complex.
