No Clemency
Condemned killer William Bonin was dealt a series of legal defeats that move him closer to becoming the first inmate in California to die by lethal injection.
The inmate, who has been on Death Row for 14 years, prepared his witness list for Friday’s scheduled execution as federal judges in Los Angeles and San Francisco on Tuesday rejected last-minute appeals filed on his behalf.
Gov. Pete Wilson denied Bonin’s bid for clemency.
