Army, Navy Battle Over Recruit
It was Army vs. Navy. Even the Marines showed up.
Police said a Navy recruiter was angry because the Army had signed up a prospective Navy recruit.
One soldier was charged with aggravated battery and booked into the Lake County Jail. Two others were charged with fighting.
According to Leesburg police, U.S. Army recruiter Rudolphus Dwayne Jackson, 30, of Sorrento, had words with a Navy recruiter early Wednesday.
Jackson later got a tire iron and walked into the nearby Navy office, looking for the Navy recruiter. According to witnesses, Jackson started swinging the tire iron, smashing a computer keyboard and a desk clock.
