Board Oks Money For Computer System
The Spokane Public Library Board unanimously decided Wednesday to spend up to $20,000 on an enhanced dial-in connection system introduced last year.
Systems manager Garv Brakel said the new version will give home computer users a more visually pleasing, easier-to-manage set of commands for getting information - from items available in the library, to full copies of thousands of magazine articles.
That service, if it works as designed, will be available in late March. Money for it will be taken from the $29 million construction bond passed by voters in 1990. , DataTimes
