Shrontz Hands Boeing Ceo Job To Condit

Boeing Co. chairman Frank Shrontz will step down as chief executive in April and turn over day-to-day control of the aircraft maker to president Phil Condit, the company said Monday.

Shrontz, who will be 65 later this year, has served as Boeing CEO since April 1986. He will remain chairman for an unspecified transition period, the company said.

Condit, 54, has served as president and a member of Boeing’s board of directors since August 1992. He will assume the additional role of chief executive on April 29.
