Border Stories

If you’ve crossed the Canadian border, you remember the questions well: Where are you going? How long are you staying? Are you carrying any weapons or drugs? That’s what customs officers most often ask travelers. But answering those questions does not mean automatic access to Canada, or a return into the U.S. Some travelers run a gauntlet of vehicle searches and tariffs, or get turned away because they don’t have the proper identification. We want to hear about your border crossing experiences, both good and bad. Give us a call on Cityline at (208) 765-8811 in Idaho, (509) 458-8800 in Washington, on a TouchTone phone. Then press 9865 to share a bit of your story with us. Be sure to leave your name and phone number so a reporter can contact you. , DataTimes
