Reports Claim Unrest Continues In Iraq
Iraqi opposition groups claimed Tuesday that clashes have erupted across Iraq between Saddam Hussein’s loyalists and relatives of two prominent defectors killed last week.
Some reports said the Iraqi leader’s sons, Odai and Qusai, have also widened a purge of the defectors’ family and supporters to include Saddam’s three half-brothers.
None of the often-conflicting reports could be independently verified, and a journalist contacted by telephone in Baghdad said there were no reports of unrest Tuesday in the Iraqi capital.
