From Staff And Wire Reports

A Coeur d’Alene police officer received minor injuries Tuesday afternoon when his patrol car was rear-ended during a rush-hour accident.

Sgt. Jerry C. Staver, 46, had stopped his car as another vehicle in front of his was making a turn into a business parking lot.

Staver was taken to Kootenai Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
