Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: I solved the problem of those scratchy, annoying tags sewn in the necks of shirts and tank tops.

I simply tack them down with fabric glue. No more unsightly stick-ups or red irritated spots from rubbing on a twisted tag or the rough edge left by cutting the thing off. - Samantha Parsons, Ridgecrest, Calif.

Dear Heloise: I do a lot of handwork (counted cross-stitch, needlepoint, crochet, knitting). It’s often difficult to keep track of where you are on the pattern chart.

I use self-sticking notes to mark my place. The notes stay put and you can easily move them line to line. - Kay Pope, Sherburn, Minn.
