Spokane Man Dies In Canada After Truck Slides Into Vehicle

A 63-year-old Spokane man died Wednesday after his pickup truck slid into another vehicle north of the Canadian border, authorities said.

Donald Joseph Higginbotham, 10802 E. Valleyway, was driving on Highway 95 near Ryans Crossing at about 11:30 a.m. when he lost control of his pickup, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Higginbotham’s vehicle struck another pickup driven by France Wietzel of Creston, B.C. A passenger in Wietzel’s truck was treated for chest injuries at Creston Valley Hospital. , DataTimes
