Arizona Halts Losing Streak With Win Over Arizona St.

Associated Press

College basketball

Arizona reserve Joe McLean scored 22 points in a 10-minute span of the first half Wednesday night, almost single-handedly breaking up a tight game as the 18th-ranked Wildcats ended a three-game losing streak to Arizona State with a 108-76 rout at Tucson, Ariz.

McLean, who exceeded his career high in the first half, finished with 30 points as Arizona (11-3) won its first Pac-10 game after losing two straight on the road, setbacks which dropped the Wildcats nine places in the poll this week.
