Delmar Edwards Miles City, Mont.
Service for Delmar L. Edwards, 62, will be today in Miles City. Interment will be later in St. Maries.
Mr. Edwards, a former St. Maries resident, died Tuesday.
He was born in Toledo, Ohio, and attended high school in Idaho.
He served in the Navy during the Korean War and married Margaret Mitchell after his military discharge. She died in 1960. He remarried in 1964.
Mr. Edwards logged in the St. Maries area for 15 years before moving to Miles City.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Wana; four sons, Dennis Edwards of Hagerman, Idaho, William Wilson of South Carolina, Gordon Sands of Whitefish, Mont., and Brian Sands of Denver; six daughters, Shirley Kelly of Shoshone, Idaho, Vicky Bass of Spokane, Darla Wilson of Salem, Ore., Dee Coulter of St. Maries, Carol McCormac of Colorado and Elizabeth Smith of Missoula; two brothers, Steve of Vancouver, Wash., and Ronnie of Chehalis, Wash.; four sisters, Patricia Jones of Malad City, Idaho, Barbara Walker and Shelly Shillman, both of St. Maries, and Connie Vogel of Billings, Mont.; 23 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mamie Young Spokane
A graveside service for Mamie Young, 89, is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. today at Greenwood Cemetery in Palouse, Wash. Kramer Funeral Home of Palouse is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Young, who was born in Fairfield, died Wednesday.
She was a member of the Baptist Church, Moose Lodge in Moscow, Idaho, and the Harvard Ladies Aid.
Her husband, Henry Young, died in 1980.
Survivors include one son, Richard Young of Lewiston; two daughters, Barbara Harrison of Potlatch, Idaho, and Mary Lou Branting of Spokane; two brothers, John Kuehner of Palouse and Carl Kuehner of Moscow; two sisters, Emma Roecks of Spokane and Pauline Nygaard of Potlatch; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Mary Weir Spokane
Funeral Mass for Mary I. Weir, 85, will be at 1 p.m. today at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Weir, born in Colfax, Wash., died Tuesday.
She was a member of St. Monica’s Guild and the Spokane Police Guild.
Her husband, Ralph Weir, died in 1981.
Survivors include three sons, Larry Weir, Michael Weir and Ralph Weir Jr., all of Spokane; three daughters, Joy Ruple and Judy Lennemann, both of Spokane, and Mary Ann Scott of Seattle; one brother, Edwin Stan of Spokane; four sisters, Florence Menard of Spokane, Irene Crosby of Portland, Ann Woods of Las Vegas, Nev., and Dorothy Johnson of San Diego; 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren
Ardella Gill Spokane
Service for Ardella Gill, 78, is scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Mrs. Gill, who was born in Pocatello, Idaho, died Tuesday.
She had been a beautician with the Bungalow Beauty Shop for more than 40 years.
Her husband, Blaine, preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Arlene Parks of Spokane and Nita Miller of Cashmere, Wash.; two sisters; one brother, seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Christian Naasz Spokane
Service for Christian Naasz, 80, is scheduled for 11 a.m. today at Pines Cemetery Mausoleum. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Naasz, born in Artas, S.D., died Monday.
He retired from Kaiser at Mead in 1978.
Survivors include his wife, Emma; two sons, James Naasz and Dennis Naasz, both of Spokane; two brothers, Gattlieb Naasz of Yakima and Edward Naasz of Spokane; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Sarah Bailey Spokane
Memorial Service for Sarah B. Bailey, 87, is scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the Spokane Valley Church of the Nazarene. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and cremation.
Mrs. Bailey, born in Yuma, Colo., died Dec. 22.
She graduated from the Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in 1931.
She was a member of the Nurses Association.
Mrs. Bailey’s survivors include one daughter, Arlene Barnes of Spokane; one son, Lawrence McGeath of Edmonds, Wash.; three sisters, Josephine Pottreatz of Spokane, Fannie Young of Walla Walla and Ester Davis of Seattle; one stepdaughter, Beverly Krusee of Portland; three stepsons, Robert Bailey of Portland, Donald Bailey of Wenatchee and Richard M. Bailey of Portland; six grandchildren, nine stepgrandchildren and six stepgreat-grandchildren.
William Steenbergen Spokane
Memorial service is scheduled for William A. Steenbergen, 88, at 1 p.m. today at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home. Private inurnment will be at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Steenbergen, who was born in Pipestone Minn., died Monday.
He graduated from Benson Polytech High School in Portland.
He was a 62-year member of Electrical Workers Union Local No. 73 and was a past master of York Masonic Lodge 234.
He retired from Kim Hotstart Manufacturing Co.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Palm Steenbergen; two daughters, Barbara Steenbergen, of Pasco and Linda Mae Johnson, of Vancouver, Wash.
Orville Widmer Wilbur, Wash.
Memorial service for Orvill Widmer, 60, is scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the Almira (Wash.) Community Church. Strate Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Widmer, who was born in Marlin, Wash., died Tuesday.
He graduated from Odessa High School in 1953.
He worked for Central Washington Grain Growers as a warehouse operator.
Mr. Widmer was a member of the Lincoln County Fair Board and the Grand Coulee Grange and was a longtime 4-H volunteer.
Survivors include his wife, Lydia Widmer; one daughter, Rhonda Widmer of Wilbur; one son, Lonnie Widmer of Elk; three brothers, Kenneth Widmer of Panama City, Fla., Leslie Widmer of Goldsboro, N.C., and Elton Widmer of Moses Lake; one sister, Wilma Schwartz of Spokane; and one grandson.
Rose O’Shea Spokane
Funeral Mass for Rose O’Shea, 93, will be celebrated 11 a.m. today at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Miss O’Shea, born in Moyie, British Columbia, died Monday.
She graduated from North Central High School and Holy Names College.
She worked for Washington Water Power Co. and for IBM in Portland. She retired from Kaiser Aluminum as a data processor.
She was a member of the Faith in Life ministry with Sister Mary Hurley, and was a member of St. Paschal’s and St. Aloysius Catholic churches.
Survivors include two sisters, Jessie Lacroix and Agnes Cavanaugh, both of Spokane.
Margaret Evers Spokane
Service for Margaret Evers, 61, is scheduled for 1 p.m. today at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home-North. Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Ms. Evers, born in Belgrade, Mont., died Monday.
She graduated from Missoula High School.
She had worked for 25 years in homes doing housework and child care.
Survivors include two brothers, Jack Hanson of Missoula and Lawrence Hansen of Fairfield, Mont.; and one sister, Donna Hanson of Hamilton, Mont.
Irita Berner Spokane
Service for Irita L. Berner, 60, is scheduled for 1 p.m. today at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Rockford.
Mrs. Berner, born in Walla Walla, died Tuesday.
She was a member of the World Wide Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Leo Berner; two sons, Donald Sams of Spokane and Daniel Berner of Seattle; one brother, Robert Wayne Hagen Jr. of Spokane; two sisters, Joan Woods of St. Louis, Mo., and Jacqueline Gallaway of Port Townsend, Wash.; and two grandchildren.

Memorial service for Albert E. Murcar, 61, is scheduled for 5 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home, following cremation.
Mr. Murcar, a lifelong Spokane resident, died Wednesday.
He worked for Donrey Outdoor Advertising for more than 30 years and for the past two years owned of Al’s Painting.
Survivors include his wife, Lynda Murcar, two sons, Jim Murcar and Joe Murcar, two daughters, Tammy Higgins and Jeannie Robinett, and eight grandchildren, all of Spokane.
Henry Boyer Spokane
Service for Henry F. Boyer, 86, is scheduled for 11 a.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 16th Ward. Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park. Ball & Dodd Funeral Home-North is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Boyer, born in Philadelphia, died Monday.
He was a member of Eagles Aerie 2, the Footprinters Club and Steilacoom Masonic Lodge 2.
He was a longtime chief deputy U.S. marshal. He retired in 1962 after 33 years.
His wife, Rose J. Boyer, died in 1993.
Survivors include one son, Alan Boyer of Modesto, Calif.; two daughters, Elaine Bahr of Medical Lake and Janice Noonan of Chewelah, Wash.; one brother, Maurice Boyer of Rio Grande, N.J.; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Angelyn Haislip Spokane

Mrs. Haislip, who was born in Butte, Mont., died Monday.
She was a member of the Spokane Yacht Club and the Fairchild Wives Club.
Her husband, Thomas Haislip, died in 1994.
Survivors include one son, Thomas Haislip of Boise; two sisters, Ann Johnson and Mary Parham, both of Spokane; and two granddaughters.
Clara Disotell Spokane
Memorial service for Clara E. Disotell, 90, is scheduled at 1 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home. Private burial will be at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Disotell, born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, died last Friday.
She was retired from Holy Family Hospital.
Her husband, Alfred Disotell, died in 1963.
Survivors include one son, Harold Kaehn of Spokane; one daughter, Shirley Jacobson of Spokane; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Jeannette McMillan Spokane
Memorial service for Jeannette McMillan, 57, is scheduled for 11 a.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home, following cremation.
Mrs. McMillan, a lifelong Spokane resident died Sunday.
She was a private home care-giver.
Survivors include two sons, Edward Kern and Billy Kern, both of Spokane; three daughters, Ellen Byrnes, Marlene Julian and Mary Kern, all of Spokane; four sisters, Jane Phillips of Deer Lake, Wash., Sue Culp of Garfield, Wash., Nancy Osgood of Belfair, Wash., and Julia Hawkins of Spokane; and 12 grandchildren.
