Suspect Identified By Bank Employees

From Staff And Wire Reports

Christopher Braden was identified by bank employees as the man who stormed into First Federal Bank in Lewiston Dec. 28 and held a shotgun on them while a partner cleaned out the cash drawers.

Two police officers also pointed out the 23-year-old Braden in court as the person who was found hiding with thousands of dollars stuffed in his leather jacket following a shoot-out in Ferdinand that ended in the death of the other suspect in the hold-up.

Following Wednesday’s hearing, Magistrate Carl Kerrick ordered Braden bound over to district court on a charge of robbery.

He will be arraigned Jan. 25.
