A 30-foot putt on No. 14 was the second of three straight birdies for Edwards, who finished at 5-underpar 67 for a two-day total of 9-under 134.

David Toms and defending champion Phil Mickelson were one stroke behind.

Sweden’s Liselotte Neumann shot a Tournament of Champions record 6-under-par 66, taking a commanding nine-stroke lead after the second round of the LPGA’s season-opening event in Orlando, Fla.
