Attempted Kidnapping Alleged

From Staff And Wire Reports

A 34-year-old Spokane woman told police two men tried to kidnap her Saturday morning near the busy intersection of Hamilton and Boone.

The woman said she was walking to work shortly after 7 a.m. when a car slowed and two men shouted at her.

She ignored them and kept walking. As she crossed the intersection, the men approached again. They grabbed the woman and tried forcing her into their car, police said.

The woman told police she fought back, biting one man’s forearm.

As the men drove away, they hit the woman with their car, knocking her to the ground. She was not seriously injured.

One suspect is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, in his late 30s, slender, with short, thinning blond hair. The other is about 6 feet tall, also in his late 30s and slender, with thick, close-cropped blond hair and a pock-marked complexion.

The car was a mid-sized, two-door Ford, teal or turquoise, with tinted windows and pink-and-yellow pinstriping. , DataTimes
