Composer Aboard Missing Plane

Compiled From Wire Services

A small airplane carrying two crewmen and two passengers, one of them a well-known Turkish composer, was reported missing Sunday.

The plane took off from Bursa at 3:45 p.m. for Istanbul, about 50 miles northwest, Acting Governor Hasan Tulay said.

Composer Onno Tunc was one of the passengers aboard the four-seat, single-engine plane belonging to private Bon Air, the Anatolia news agency quoted Ates Hanibu, the airline’s general manager, as saying.

Troops began to search the area but said the plane might have crashed into the Marmara Sea.
