Grant Will Focus On Farm Workers

The employment and training needs of Idaho farm workers will be the focus of a federal grant recently received by the Idaho Department of Employment.

The money will finance the development of videotapes, job-search workshop materials and other employment aides designed to improve the employability of farm workers.

Workplace-literacy training materials will be developed and made available to providers of English-as-a-second-language courses aimed at farm workers and their families, Johnson said.
