Interstate Fair Royalty Chosen
The fairest of the fair was picked Sunday night, as royalty was crowned for the Spokane Interstate Fair. The six contestants were nominated by six granges in the region.
Carrie Lynn Olson, 19, of the Half Moon Grange in the Elk-Chattaroy area, was chosen 1996 “Fairest of the Fair.”
Sabrina Randolph, 17, of the McIntosh Grange in Rockford was named first princess.
The second princess is Trish Schwartz, 17, of the Spring Creek Grange in Lincoln County.
The alternate is Christina Cogswell, 19, of the Espanola Grange in Espanola.
The contestants, who will serve as ambassadors of the fair, gave prepared and impromptu speeches, modeled their poise and interviewed with the judges.
