Murdoch Bids On Olympic Games

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch’s unprecedented bid for European television rights to the 2002 Winter Games could mean double the amount of money that Utah’s Olympic organizers had expected.

Murdoch, the Australian head of News Corporation, has bid $2 billion for the right to broadcast the Winter and Summer Olympics between 2000 and 2008 in Europe.
