Former S-R Editor Hired By P-I

Neal Pattison, managing editor of the Albuquerque Tribune, will become news editor of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer next month, managing editor Ken Bunting said Thursday.

Pattison, 43, will direct daily news production and assist with planning, content and presentation of the morning daily, Bunting said.

During Pattison’s tenure the Albuquerque Tribune won the 1994 Pulitzer Prize for national reporting, the Associated Press Managing Editors Public Service Award and the Selden Ring Award for Investigative Reporting.

He went to Albuquerque after 10 years as city editor and then assistant managing editor at The Spokesman-Review.
