Wilson Scorches Post Falls In Ev’s 83-77 Non-League Win

Brad Wilson scored 22 and led East Valley’s torrid 3-point shooting Saturday during an 83-77 non-league win over visiting Post Falls.
Wilson made 5 of 6 3-pointers and the Knights (3-9) finished 9 of 13 from long range to end a five-game losing streak. James Spotted Horse added 22 points for EV, which led by 14 in the third quarter before the Trojans crept within five.
Brett Hollenbeck of the Trojans (7-6), limited to two first-half points, opened the third quarter with three 3-pointers and tallied 22.

Farrah Parsley’s three-point play with 25 seconds left and Linsay Porter’s two free throws in the final seconds lifted the Knights (7-5) over the visiting Trojans (11-9).
EV held the Trojans scoreless for the last 6:30 of the third quarter. After Parsley’s 3-pointer, PF worked a 3-point attempt to Heidi Umthun, who missed with 8 seconds left.
Post Falls plays a loser-out game at home Tuesday against Coeur d’Alene (4-15, 0-7). The winner will be the fourth seed to the A-1 Region I Tournament.
