Small Earthquake Rattles West Side
A 3.3 magnitude earthquake gave parts of Western Washington a bit of a shake Sunday morning.
The earthquake occurred at 8:06 a.m., three miles south of North Bend, said Steve Malone, a research professor in the Department of Geophysics at the University of Washington.
People in the North Bend, Fall City and Issaquah areas reported feeling the temblor.
The Northwest gets about a dozen earthquakes of this size a year, Malone said. Smaller earthquakes are quite common.
