Pair Apprehended By Bicycle Patrol
A man whose car was pulled over by bicycle patrol officers Wednesday tried to run over one of the officers, then led police on a chase that ended when he crashed into a car.
David Allen Osmonson, 39, was pulled over in a downtown alley near Second and Madison at 11 p.m., police report.
A passenger then jumped from the car.
After failing to run down the officer who pulled him over, Osmonson sped north until he crashed into a parked car on Lincoln, police said. Osmonson was treated for minor injuries at an area hospital then booked into jail for second-degree assault and attempting to elude officers.
Police also arrested the passenger, 51-year-old Richard Charles Gates of Payette, Idaho. Gates was booked into jail on a charge of possession of crack cocaine. , DataTimes
