Americans Win Double Sculls

Greg Walker and Greg Lewis, who missed out on selection for the Olympics in Atlanta, won the Double Sculls Cup at the prestigious 157th Henley Royal Regatta.

The Potomac and U.S. National Training Center duo, beaten in a best-of-three Olympics trial by Washington/Penn’s Ty Bennion and Andy McMarlin, cruised to victory by 3 lengths.

Yale, marking the centenary of its first appearance at Henley, won the Temple Cup for eights, beating England’s Imperial College ‘A’ by 1-3/4 lengths.
