Ralph Ruehlman Spokane

Graveside service for Ralph Maynard Ruehlman, 96, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Ruehlman, who died Sunday, was born in Sharon, Wis.

He served in the Navy during World War I.

He graduated from Lawrence University in Wisconsin with a bachelor’s degree and received an administrative certificate from Washington State University.

He taught school and coached at several Washington schools.

He moved to Spokane in 1970 after he retired from teaching.

Mr. Ruehlman was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the American Legion in Northport, Wash., the Washington Education Association, the Spokane Retired Teachers Association and the Spokane Rose Society.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Sylvia; a son, Rollie Ruehlman of Beaverton, Ore.; a daughter, Sherrill Albershardt of Ridgefield, Wash., and two grandchildren.

Ronald Ebert Post Falls

Graveside service for Ronald L. Ebert, 63, will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in St. Maries. Yates-Hodge Funeral Home in St. Maries is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Ebert, who was born in Fernwood, Idaho, died Thursday.

He grew up in Fernwood and graduated from St. Maries High School in 1951. He later served with the Army in Germany and returned to St. Maries after his military discharge in 1955.

He worked as a log scaler for Diamond International and Potlatch Corp. He moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1978. He retired in 1984 and moved to Post Falls.

Mr. Ebert was a former member of the St. Maries Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include three sons, Don Ebert of Oklahoma, Tom Ebert of Indiana and Paul Ebert of St. Maries; two daughters, Cathy McPhedran of St. Maries and Cindi Ebert of Montana; his mother, Lena Ebert of Fernwood; one brother, Chuck Ebert of St. Maries; two sisters, Janie Blevins of St. Maries and Arlene Johnson of Rockford; and nine grandchildren.

Roxie Jordan Spokane

Service for Roxie M. Jordan, 91, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.

Mrs. Jordan, who died Monday, was born in Davenport, Wash.

She was a homemaker and had lived in Spokane for more than 50 years.

She was a member of the Corbin Senior Center.

Her husband, Walter Jordan, died in 1963.

She is survived by a son, Walter Jordan of Spokane; three daughters, Aileen Ratzlaff and Vera Wagner, both of Spokane, and Jean Franklin of Princeton, Idaho; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Catherine Johnson Spokane

Graveside service for Catherine M. Johnson, 90, will be at 11 a.m. today at Holy Cross Cemetery. HennesseySmith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Johnson, who was born in Belt, Mont., died Thursday. She was a homemaker and had been a Spokane resident since 1924.

She is survived by a daughter, Louise Lamp of Spokane; a sister, Lucille Wendl of Spokane; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Reba Wiseman Kona, Hawaii

No service was held for Reba Wiseman, a former Spokane resident.

Mrs. Wiseman died June 27 in Hawaii, where she had lived since 1988. She was 72.

She was born in Roane County, Tenn.

She lived in Spokane from 1944 until 1988 and worked for Armour Meat Packing Co. from the late-1940s until 1960.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Kenneth Wiseman; two daughters, Margaret Roberts of Spokane and Tina Wiseman of Seattle; a son, Howard Wiseman of Ocean View, Hawaii; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
