Kenya Airways Orders Two 737s

Compiled From Wire Services

Kenya Airways has ordered two Boeing 737-300s costing about $82 million for delivery next year, and has taken options on two others, the manufacturer announced Monday.

The new twinjets will be used by the recently privatized airline for route expansion in Africa, said Seddik Belyamani, vice president of international sales for Boeing Commercial Airplane Group.

The deal boosts total orders to 3,336 for all models of the 737, the best-selling commercial passenger plane in aviation history.
