Man Given Five Years For Vehicular Homicide

A man who ran over a Kirkland woman with his pickup truck has been sentenced to five years and one month in prison.

Travis Wayne Lawrence, 23, of Bothell had pleaded guilty in King County Superior Court to vehicular homicide and hit-and-run in the April 13 accident. He was sentenced Friday.

Judge Patricia Aitken said she gave him the stiffest sentence possible because Lawrence’s fleeing the scene was intentional and callous.
