Make Summer A Real ‘Event’

Looking for something to do this summer? Two organizations need your help in planning special events.

KidsWeek: The Chase Youth Commission is looking for teens and youth ages 12 and over to volunteer their time during KidsWeek ‘96, Aug. 10-18.

It’s a great opportunity to have fun while helping to put on the largest celebration for kids in the region. To sign up or get more information, call the United Way Volunteer Center, 624-2279.

Family-A-Fair: This weekend-long family workshop depends on the hard work of teen volunteers to run smoothly. This year they need more than 200 youth to help out in setting up and running the many information and activity booths.

Everything from face-painting to book-reading skills are needed. Family-A-Fair is Oct. 18-20. Call 456-3733 for complete information.
