Anderson To Take Leave Of Absence
Spokane City Councilman Chris Anderson is taking a six- to eightweek leave of absence from his council job, it was announced Monday.
In a one-page letter to Mayor Jack Geraghty, Anderson said the reason for the leave is to take care of “personal family matters.” The letter did not elaborate.
Geraghty said he does not know any of the details about Anderson’s leave.
Attempts to reach Anderson on Monday were unsuccessful.
Mamie Picard, a strong Anderson supporter, said she had not heard from Anderson in several days, even though she sometimes gets a ride home with him after weekly council meetings.
Anderson was elected to the council in 1993.
