Monica Seles rifled winner after winner to take the first 11 points and 20 of the first 22 in a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Mary Joe Fernandez at the Eastbourne Final.

Though she has an ailing shoulder and is not in the best of shape, Seles swept through this English tournament without losing a set.

Anke Huber of Germany captured the first grasscourt title of her career by beating Helene Sukova of the Czech Republic 6-3, 7-6 (7-2) in the final of the Wilkinson Lady Championships at Rosmalen, Netherlands.

Andres Gomez defeated defending champion Jimmy Connors, 6-1, 6-3 to advance to the finals of The Challenge at the Beach & Tennis Club at Pebble Beach, Calif. He will face John McEnroe.
