Horse Challenge Ripped

Hall of Fame trainer Bobby Frankel has accepted an invitation to send Eltish from California to try to snuff out Cigar’s winning streak July 13 in the Arlington Citation Challenge.

America’s highest profile trainer, Wayne Lukas, is bad-mouthing the $1,050,000 race in which Cigar will try to equal Citation’s American record of 16 straight triumphs.

“It’s unhealthy for racing to have this kind of situation where the owners of one horse can dictate the terms,” contended Lukas.
