Associated Press

A man accused of setting fires at Soap Lake churches and a business has pleaded innocent to arson charges.

Anthony Notaras, 59, Soap Lake, entered the plea to three counts of second-degree arson this week in Grant County Superior Court.

Notaras was arrested June 15 and accused of setting fires that caused more than $100,000 damage to two Soap Lake churches and a restaurant owned by his sister.

He is being held in the Grant County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.

A trial is scheduled Aug. 6.
