Target Shooter Arrested

A man wanted for using a weapon to intimidate someone was arrested Friday afternoon when police found him shooting a gun inside the city limits.

David K. Gray, 21, was shooting a pellet pistol in a field at 32nd Avenue and Mt. Vernon Street, police said. When police arrived, Gray hid the gun and tried to walk away.

Gray told police he was target shooting when they questioned him. Police checked Gray’s record with a radio dispatcher and discovered he had an outstanding warrant for intimidation with a weapon.

Gray, who gave his address as 1112 W. Ninth, was booked into the Spokane County Jail on the outstanding warrant. He also was cited for the shooting violation.
