New Century Sets Planning Sessions

The New Century Task Force will hold its next planning sessions Monday and Tuesday at the Red Lion City Center. Both sessions will begin at 7:15 a.m.

The 150-member New Century Task Force represents a broad cross-section of people from Spokane and Kootenai counties who are working to develop a community economic development plan for the next five years.

In Monday’s session, the task force will address strategies in the areas of economic development and infrastructure. The Tuesday session will deal with government and private sector leadership.

A draft of the New Century Plan will be published in The Spokesman-Review April 21, and on April 23, a town hall meeting will be held at the Spokane Community College to gather public comment on the plan.
