Micron Subsidiary Moving To Nampa
Micron Custom Manufacturing Services Inc. plans to move its operation from Boise to Nampa.
The wholly owned subsidiary of Micron Electronics Inc. announced Thursday that construction on a 216,000-square-foot facility will begin in April and be completed by the end of September.
The company initially will occupy about 180,000 square feet of the site, which will house manufacturing as well as sales and administration areas.
Rob Subia, Micron Custom Manufacturing Services’ president, said the move is needed to accommodate continued growth. The company manufactures custom printed circuit board and system-level assemblies.
The parent company, Micron Electronics, is about 80-percent owned by Boise-based Micron Technology Inc.
