Joe Dziedzic’s goal early in the third period snapped a tie and lifted the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 5-4 victory over the Edmonton Oilers at Pittsburgh.
Dziedzic scored off Chris Joseph’s rebound at 3:29 for his fifth goal of the season.
Mario Lemieux was held without a point for just the sixth time in 60 games this season. Instead, the Penguins got scoring from unlikely sources, including new acquisitions Kevin Miller and J.J. Daigneualt, as well as Dziedzic, a rookie fourth-line left wing.
