Granger Feed Mill Destroyed By Fire

A spectacular fire destroyed an animal feed mill Wednesday evening in this Yakima Valley town.

The fire began about 7 p.m. and destroyed the Bleyhl Farm Service mill.

Officials said the fire, just a few blocks from downtown, was under control a few hours later. But they said the wooden structure would likely smolder for days.

There were no injuries and no immediate word on the cause.

The mill takes corn, barley and other crops and turns them into feed for animals.
